[Multiple officials said the United States is pushing to resume the transportation of Russian natural gas to Europe via Ukraine] On November 2, officials from the United States, Europe and Ukraine revealed that the United States is supporting the resumption of Russian natural gas exports to Europe through pipelines transiting Ukraine. The move is part of negotiations between the parties to reach an "energy ceasefire" before winter. U.S. President Trump’s son-in-law Kushner and presidential envoy Witkov proposed this idea when they visited Moscow and Kiev in September this year, planning to sell Russian natural gas through U.S. intermediaries to bypass European sanctions. However, the plan was opposed by European countries. According to current EU regulations, the EU must phase out purchases of Russian natural gas by the end of 2027. (CCTV News)
