[All six major banks have restarted the issuance of large-denomination certificates of deposit] On November 2, with the official launch of large-denomination certificates of deposit products on the official App of the Postal Savings Bank, the issuance of large-denomination certificates of deposit by the six major banks has all restarted. Postal Savings Bank of China launched three large-denomination certificates of deposit on October 29, with a three-month and a six-month term, all starting at 200,000 yuan: two six-month certificates with an annual interest rate of 1.05%, which are transferable, and a three-month certificate with an annual interest rate of 0.85%, which is non-transferable. The interest rates are significantly higher than the bank's time deposit interest rate of the same term. Previously, on July 1, the Bank of China launched the first phase of personal large-denomination certificates of deposit in 2026, covering maturities from 1 month to 5 years. Subsequently, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Bank of Communications successively followed suit. (CCTV Finance)
