The construction of a bilateral and multilateral community of a shared future between China and the five Mekong countries has been deepened and solidified, with trade volume exceeding US$500 billion, an increase of 150% compared with 10 years ago. The construction of the Lancang-Mekong economic development belt has achieved fruitful results, the innovation corridor has become a new highlight, and regional power interconnection has been accelerated. The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund has supported more than 1,000 "small but beautiful" projects. The “Lancang-Mekong Visa” makes exchanges between people from the six countries more convenient. As the century-old changes in the world accelerate, the role of Lancang-Mekong cooperation in promoting open development and maintaining peace and tranquility has become increasingly prominent.
