[Cathay Haitong wins the bid for the central bank's third batch of swap facility operations worth 10 billion yuan] On November 3, reporters learned that Cathay Haitong once again won the bid for the "Securities, Funds, and Insurance Companies Swap Facility (SFISF)" business, with a winning interest rate of 10bp and a bid size of 10 billion yuan, a significant increase in scale compared with the previous two times. Previously, Cathay Haitong won two bids for swap convenience operations and quickly promoted the implementation of the business. It was the first securities company in the market to increase its A-share holdings by borrowing treasury bonds for repurchase financing. So far, the first two batches of swap facility quotas have all been used to increase holdings of A shares and stock ETFs. Zhu Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Cathay Haitong, said that the RMB 10 billion won this time will be put into use as soon as possible after the swap convenience operation, and will form a joint force with peer institutions to maximize the effect of policy tools.
