[Mainstream coal mines in Lishi, Luliang resume production, and Mongolian coal customs clearance is expected to resume] November 3rd, the domestic coking coal market continued to run weakly today. On the supply side, coking coal mines in Shanxi continued to resume production, and the number of suspended coal mines further decreased. There are currently 40 coal mines that are still out of production, a decrease of 4 on a week-on-week basis, and supply-side easing is expected to continue. The overall market demand is weakening, and most coal mines are selling at reduced prices. Luliang Lishi main coking clean coal is quoted at 2,250 yuan/ton, a decrease of 50 yuan/ton. Online auctions saw many transactions at reduced prices. The average transaction price of Changzhi Qinyuan low-sulfur lean main coking clean coal was 2,170 yuan/ton, a decrease of 80 yuan/ton. On the demand side, end-use finished product prices continue to weaken, spot transactions are dismal, and steel mills' molten iron output continues to decline; the superimposed coke market still has expectations of improvement and decline, and the overall purchasing attitude of downstream coke steel companies is cautious, with a general lack of willingness to replenish inventories.
