[Restrictions on the use of mobile phones in primary and secondary schools across Mexico] November 4th: From November 3, local time, restrictions on the use of mobile phones will be officially implemented in public and private primary and secondary schools across Mexico. According to the regulations of the Mexican Ministry of Public Education, students are in principle not allowed to use personal electronic devices such as mobile phones and smart watches during classes and breaks, but exceptions may be made for special needs such as teaching activities, emergencies, health or disability assistance, etc. At the high school level, each school formulates specific management rules. Mexican President Sheinbaum said the new regulations aim to reduce the negative impact of electronic screens on students' learning and social interaction and improve concentration and creativity. Previously, education authorities in 32 states across the country unanimously supported the measure. (CCTV News)
