[Chrysler, Stellantis recall some imported Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles] November 4th, Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products". 1. Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. Recall number S2026M0122V: Starting from now, some imported Wrangler cars produced between August 22, 2020 and August 19, 2024, a total of 18,544 vehicles; some imported Gladiator cars produced between January 4, 2022 and September 1, 2022, a total of 1,853 vehicles are recalled. 2. Stellandis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. Recall number S2026M0123V: Starting from now, some imported Wrangler cars produced between June 7, 2023 and October 15, 2024, a total of 5,948 vehicles; some imported Gladiator cars produced between April 3, 2023 and December 20, 2023, a total of 1,811 vehicles are recalled. For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing reasons, the pin row of the electro-hydraulic power steering pump connector does not meet the specifications, which may cause poor electrical connection between the connector and the wiring harness, resulting in power steering failure. In extreme cases, the connector and surrounding areas may overheat, posing a risk of fire. Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. will check for free the vehicles within the recall scope whether the electro-hydraulic power steering pump connector and the pump end interface are fully engaged, and whether the connector secondary lock and connector lock are fully engaged. If the requirements are not met, the electro-hydraulic power steering pump and wiring harness will be replaced free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
