[Nokia predicts: Artificial intelligence will drive 44% of global network traffic by 2035] On November 4, Nokia released the "Global Network Traffic Report", predicting that by 2035, AI will drive nearly half of the world's network traffic, and the total global monthly traffic will increase nearly four times to approximately 3,789 exabytes. Nokia predicts that agent-based AI traffic is expected to reach 160 times its 2026 levels by 2035, while physical AI traffic is expected to reach 105 times its 2026 levels during the same period. In addition, the report predicts that fixed wireless access (FWA) will generate more than one-third of consumer cellular network traffic by 2035 as connections and usage grow, expanding the role of cellular networks in home broadband as well as mobile services.
