[Vietnam designs its first security chip using RISC-V and 28nm process] On November 4, the Vietnamese Government Cryptozoology Committee and the Military Electronics and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) jointly released the country’s first self-designed security semiconductor platform and its first security chip VGC v1.0. This chip has a package size of 10 mm × 10 mm, integrates approximately 300 million transistors, and is manufactured using a 28-nanometer CMOS process. It integrates Vietnam’s self-developed encryption algorithm directly into the chip hardware and is mainly targeted at the government and defense fields.
