On the afternoon of the same day, the Ministry of Commerce, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council successfully held the "Hong Kong Sub-forum" of the 9th Hongqiao International Economic Forum at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Li Jiachao attended and delivered a speech, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao delivered a video speech, and Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong attended the event. Li Jiachao said that Hong Kong's first five-year plan proactively aligns with the country's "15th Five-Year Plan" and marks an important milestone in Hong Kong's development. Through the five-year plan, the Hong Kong SAR government will give full play to the advantages of internal and external connections under "one country, two systems", fulfill its role as a "super contact" and "super value-added person", consolidate and enhance its existing advantages, stimulate innovation momentum, and contribute Hong Kong's strength to integrate into and serve the country's construction of a strong country. Wang Wentao said that this year is the first year of the country’s “15th Five-Year Plan”. The Hong Kong SAR government took the initiative to align with the national development strategy and released its first five-year plan. The Ministry of Commerce will actively support Hong Kong in strengthening the construction of centers and hubs to enhance new development advantages; deepen integration with the mainland to release new development momentum; expand regional and open cooperation to expand new development space. Support Hong Kong in leveraging its unique position and important role in connecting the motherland and the world, better integrating into and serving the overall development of the country, and transforming the planning "vision map" into a "real picture" of development.
