[Anti-Cross-Border Corruption Law Passed by Vote] On November 6, the 25th Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress voted to pass the Anti-Cross-Border Corruption Law. The law has 6 chapters and 47 articles, including mechanisms and responsibilities, case handling and international cooperation, integrity and compliance, legal responsibilities, etc. The Anti-Cross-Border Corruption Law is formulated to prevent and punish cross-border corruption, deepen international cooperation in anti-corruption, safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and promote the construction of a fair and reasonable anti-corruption global governance system. This law shall come into effect on the date of promulgation. (Xinhua News Agency)
