[The Sixth China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue was successfully held] On November 6, Zheng Shanjie, Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Chalmers, Minister of the Australian Treasury, co-chaired the Sixth China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue via video on November 5. During the dialogue, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as the macroeconomic situation, energy security and energy transformation, investment trends, and medium- and long-term development plans. Zheng Shanjie said that China welcomes Australian companies to invest and operate in China, share the dividends of China's market development, and supports Chinese companies to carry out investment cooperation in Australia. It hopes that Australia will create a fair, stable and predictable investment environment for Chinese companies. China is willing to work with Australia to conscientiously implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, adhere to mutual benefit and win-win results, strengthen communication and coordination, and deepen practical cooperation. Chalmers said that Australia is willing to strengthen institutional exchanges with China, use the China-Australia Strategic Economic Dialogue as an important platform to promote practical cooperation, continue to deepen policy exchanges, and provide more convenient conditions for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
