[Trump said the new round of strikes against Iran will not “last too long”] September 3rd, U.S. President Trump told reporters at the White House on September 2, local time, that the new round of strikes against Iran by the United States will not “last too long.” Trump said that the attack on the 1st was "very violent" and that the United States is ready to strike again against Iran at any time. The U.S. Central Command posted on social media on the 1st that the U.S. military had completed a new round of strikes against Iranian military targets, including the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ air defense positions, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, minelaying capabilities, and communication sites. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on the 1st that it had begun responding to the US attack that day, and claimed to have shot down a US military MQ-9 drone. (CCTV News)
