[Israeli Army Says Attack on Hezbollah Personnel and Facilities in Southern Lebanon] September 6th, the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on the 5th saying that the Israeli army launched an attack on Hezbollah personnel and related infrastructure in southern Lebanon on the evening of the 4th in response to Hezbollah’s drone attack earlier that day. The statement said the targets of the Israeli strike included Hezbollah weapons storage facilities. These facilities were originally planned to be used for attacks against Israeli soldiers and Israeli civilians deployed in the "safe zone" in southern Lebanon. The operation was aimed at neutralizing an "imminent threat." (CCTV News)
