1. As of midday closing, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Index fell 0.24%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.38%, and the ChiNext Index rose 2.63%.
2. Hong Kong stocks closed at noon, with the Hang Seng Index down 0.97% and the Hang Seng Technology Index down 1%.
3. Six departments including the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the "Implementation Plan for Adhering to Prioritized Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas and Improving the Rural Revitalization Investment Mechanism." It is proposed to actively support the listing and financing of qualified agricultural-related enterprises; support the issuance of real estate investment trust funds (REITs) in the infrastructure field by qualified agricultural-related projects.
4. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and six other departments recently issued the "Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Historical Classic Industries." The opinion proposes to encourage tea, traditional Chinese medicine, silk and other famous products to enter port exit duty-free shops, departure tax refund shops, city duty-free shops, and high-end supermarkets in accordance with laws and regulations.
5. Goldman Sachs Group said that if attacks on ships in the Middle East further escalate, oil prices may rise to $120 per barrel; the bank also recommends investors to go long on natural gas and diesel to capture potential gains.
