On September 7, the Ministry of Commerce Announcement No. 37 of 2026 announced the preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping investigation of imported dichlorodihydrogen silicon originating in Japan. The investigation agency initially determined that there was dumping of the imported products under investigation originating in Japan, that the domestic dichlorosilane industry was substantially damaged, and that there was a causal relationship between the dumping and the substantial damage. According to the provisions of Articles 28 and 29 of the Anti-dumping Regulations, the investigation agency decided to implement temporary anti-dumping measures in the form of a deposit. Starting from September 8, 2026, when importing products under investigation, import operators should provide corresponding deposits to the Customs of the People's Republic of China based on the margin ratio of each company determined in this preliminary ruling.
