[CITIC Securities: Lithium salt inventory data fluctuates significantly and lithium prices have oversold] On September 8, CITIC Securities research report pointed out that the sharp drop in lithium prices last week was mainly due to the substantial increase in weekly inventory caused by the statistical caliber and sample adjustment of SMM lithium carbonate inventory, and not a substantial deterioration in industry fundamentals. We expect that the recovery in lithium battery production schedules in September will drive considerable demand growth. The increase in overseas supply will not be as fast as the demand growth, and the industry supply gap may further expand. Single-week inventory noise is difficult to reverse the logic of industry fundamentals. We expect that short-term lithium prices have been significantly oversold, and subsequent lithium prices are expected to stabilize and rebound to 150,000-200,000 yuan/ton, driving the lithium sector to recover.
