[Indonesia’s Dukono volcano erupted with an ash column about 1,000 meters high] November 7th, according to the Indonesian Volcano Geological Disaster Mitigation Center, at 12:09 local time on November 7, the Dukono volcano in North Maluku Province, Indonesia, erupted. The volcanic ash column was about 1,000 meters high and the eruption lasted about 34 seconds. The Indonesian Volcano Geological Disaster Mitigation Center reminds local residents and tourists not to engage in activities or climb within 4 kilometers of the crater, and recommends that surrounding people prepare masks to prevent the impact of volcanic ash on the respiratory system.
