[Canada and Ukraine cooperate to expand military drone production] On September 11, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney met with visiting Ukrainian President Zelensky in Calgary, Alberta on the 10th. The two sides decided to cooperate to expand the production of military drones and announced a series of new agreements. According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Canada will establish a national digital platform for military drones, based on the Ukrainian "Valiant 1" drone platform, to accelerate the research, development, procurement and deployment of drones and anti-drone systems to ensure the supply of equipment to the Canadian Army and Coast Guard. Canada has signed the first batch of procurement contracts worth 50 million Canadian dollars (approximately US$36.15 million).
