[National Bureau of Statistics: Economic performance in August showed the characteristics of "three stability and two rapidity"] On September 15th, Fu Linghui, spokesperson, chief economist and director of the National Economic Comprehensive Statistics Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, said at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that judging from the main indicators in August, it mainly showed the characteristics of "three stability and two rapidity". Among the "three stability", the first is stable production. In August, industrial added value and industrial production index maintained steady growth. Secondly, employment is stable, with the employment situation of the main employed group (aged 30 to 59) remaining the same as last month and the same period last year. In addition, prices are stable. In August, consumer prices increased by 0.8% year-on-year, and industrial producer prices increased by 3.8%. From an international perspective, prices remain stable. "Two fast" refers to the rapid growth of emerging industries and the rapid growth of import and export. On the one hand, the added value of high-tech manufacturing and digital product manufacturing increased by 16.7% and 15.7% respectively year-on-year in August. According to estimates, new kinetic energy contributed more than 60% to industries above designated size that month, and it continues to increase.
The production index of the information transmission, software and information technology service industry increased by 9.6%, and its contribution to the service industry production index also exceeded 20%. On the other hand, in August, the total import and export of goods increased by 19.8% year-on-year. From the perspective of exports, the export of green products such as new energy vehicles and lithium batteries has grown relatively rapidly, which has effectively promoted the development of global energy green transformation. From the perspective of imports, China's imports from developing countries such as ASEAN, Africa, and Latin America have increased significantly, providing new opportunities for the industrial development of developing countries. Fu Linghui said that overall, although there are many unstable and uncertain factors, China's economy has overcome difficulties and maintained stable operation. New driving forces are accumulating and growing, showing strong resilience and vitality, and becoming an important growth pole and stabilizing anchor for global development.
