[Saudi Arabia reportedly sells crude oil delivered outside the Strait of Hormuz] September 16th, it is reported that Saudi Arabia is increasing its sales of spot crude oil delivered outside the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, the country's east-west oil pipeline was closed, resulting in the inability to transport crude oil to the Red Sea coast. Saudi Aramco has sold about 20 million barrels of crude oil to Asian refiners this week, which can be picked up this month and next month just outside the Strait of Hormuz, traders familiar with the matter said, requesting anonymity. Traders said the spot crude oil sold by Saudi Aramco was loaded on a ship-to-ship transfer from the Gulf of Oman between September and October. This means that although crude oil still has to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, buyers do not need to bear the transportation of this leg considering the pickup location.
