[Sharp will launch AI server business and consider joint production with Hon Hai] September 16th. Sharp announced on September 15 that it will launch AI server business. It will sell servers produced by Hon Hai in Japan starting from 2027, and strive to achieve sales of 250 billion yen (approximately RMB 10.8 billion) by 2030. It is also considering domestic production in Japan in the future. Sharp plans to sell two models equipped with Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs) to research institutions and data server operators. The company will also explore joint production with Hon Hai in the future.
