[Human brain organoids form functional neural networks in mice] September 17th, research published in Nature on the 16th showed that human brain organoids transplanted into mice can reproduce some important features of brain development, including forming functional neural networks to support brain activity. The achievement was made possible by a method of breeding mice with reduced brain volumes, allowing human brain organoids to be integrated into the mouse brain. The model enables a more in-depth study of human brain development. The research team stated that this experiment was conducted under strict ethical guidance.
