[Turkey says Iran supports Turkey’s disbandment of the PKK] September 17th, Turkey’s Interior Ministry issued a statement on the 16th stating that Iran supports Turkey’s actions related to the dissolution of the PKK and its branches. The statement said that Turkish Interior Minister Ciftci and Iranian Interior Minister Momeni held talks in the Turkish capital Ankara that day. Ciftchi said that dismantling the PKK and its branches in Syria and Iraq is crucial for regional peace; at the same time, it is equally important to include the Kurdistan Free Life Party operating in Iran into this process.
