[Dabeinong: Soybean products of its controlled subsidiary have been approved for planting license in Brazil] On September 15th, Dabeinong (002385.SZ) announced that the transformation incident of the genetically modified insect-resistant and herbicide-tolerant soybean DBN9004xDBN8002xDBN8205 developed by the company’s controlled subsidiary Dabeinong Biotechnology passed the safety evaluation review of the Brazilian National Biosafety Technical Committee and was officially approved for planting license. The product controls major lepidopteran pests such as Spodoptera Frugiperda and is tolerant to glyphosate and glufosinate-ammonium herbicides. The company reminds that the product still needs to obtain import licenses from soybean consuming countries before it can be commercially promoted in Brazil.

[Pig kidney transplant has survived for a record 285 days, which may become a "life bridge" for patients with end-stage renal disease waiting for a kidney transplant] September 4th, as of September 3, local time in the United States, a kidney disease patient who received a genetically modified pig kidney transplant had survived for 285 days without the need for dialysis, setting a record for the longest survival after a human received a pig kidney transplant. Previously, a patient who received a similar transplant survived for 271 days and later received a human donor kidney. The above cases show that genetically modified pig kidneys may play a "bridge" role before human kidney transplants are available: patients can temporarily rely on genetically modified pig kidneys to maintain their lives while waiting for a human kidney transplant, thereby getting rid of the physical burden caused by dialysis.
