[Dalian Commodity Exchange: Futures prices have been included in the calculation of the Changxie Coal and Steel Linkage Floating Value and have become the pricing reference for some leading coal companies] On October 13, Wang Yufei, deputy general manager of the Dalian Commodity Exchange, said at the Black Industry Forum of the 19th International Oils and Grease Conference and Agricultural and Livestock Industry (Derivatives) Conference that the influence of prices has been steadily increasing. In recent years, DCE has closely followed spot changes and continued to optimize delivery quality standards and premiums and discounts, and the representativeness of futures prices has continued to increase. In terms of iron ore, focusing on changes in mainstream ore quality, Dalian Commodity Exchange took the lead in lowering the futures standard iron grade from 62% to 61%, proactively adapting to industry trends and spot pricing needs. Since then, mainstream spot indexes at home and abroad have also been adjusted one after another, and futures and spot pricing benchmarks have been further aligned. At present, reference to futures pricing in port spot trade has become an industry practice. In terms of coking coal, futures prices have been included in the calculation of the linked floating value of Changxie Coal and Steel, and have become the pricing reference for some leading coal companies. Futures prices are becoming a "weather vane" that is visible, trustworthy and useful for upstream and downstream enterprises. (CSI Taurus)
