On the evening of January 6, local time, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced in his opening speech at 2025 CES that NVIDIA will jointly develop the next generation of autonomous vehicles with Toyota Motor. According to Jiemian News, NVIDIA said that Toyota will build the next generation of cars on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin platform and run the safety-certified NVIDIA DriveOS operating system.
In addition, autonomous driving technology company Aurora, Continental and NVIDIA announced a long-term strategic partnership to deploy autonomous trucks powered by NVIDIA DRIVE on a large scale. The DriveOS system will be integrated into Aurora Driver, the SAE Level 4 autonomous driving system that Continental plans to mass-produce in 2027.
At the same time, Huang Renxun announced that Nvidia has launched a new consumer gaming chip using Blackwell technology. Nvidia releases new GeForceRTX50 series Blackwell architecture GPU. This GPU has 92 billion transistors, 4000TOPS, four AI processing units, and its performance is three times that of the previous generation Ada. Nvidia also said that Blackwell is now in full production.

According to brokerage China, the new generation GeForceRTX5090 graphics card is priced at US$1,999, and the RTX5080 is priced at US$999. Micron Technology supplies the memory for the new GPU. "The RTX 5090 will deliver twice the performance of the 4090, demonstrating a significant leap in capabilities from our 5070 to 5090 GPU series. The new GeForce GPUs will be available starting in January."
Huang Renxun said that in the next few years, the amount of data generated by humans will exceed all the data generated by humans since the beginning of time. "So we're still generating huge amounts of data, and that data is becoming multimodal, including video, images and sound. We're also leveraging AI feedback and synthetic data generation to make it possible to practice self-learning through trial and error until you get the right answer."
Huang Jenxun revealed that Blackwell is in full production, and all major cloud service providers have established systems, offering about 200 different models and configurations from about 15 hardware manufacturers. We have multiple (computing) systems, such as NVLink36x2 and NVLink72x1, that can meet the needs of almost any data center around the world and are currently produced in about 45 factories. Blackwell has achieved a four-fold improvement in performance compared to the previous generation.
"Our goal is to create a giant chip called Grace Blackwell NVLink72 that will exceed the capabilities of the world's fastest supercomputers using 72 Blackwell GPUs, or 144 chips," Huang said.
As of the closing of the previous day's U.S. stock market, NVIDIA's share price was US$149.43, up 3.43%, with a market value of US$3.7 trillion.
