Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of social media platform
"This will kill this company, and the world will know that advertisers killed this company," Musk said on Wednesday. The world's richest man said his post supporting anti-Semitism was "the worst, stupidest thing I've ever done." He is also the CEO of Tesla.
However, he also said that if advertisers leave X, then the companies' failure will be their own fault, not Musk's, saying they are trying to "blackmail me with money."
X has lost more than 60% of its advertisers since Musk took over the company more than a year ago and began loosening content restrictions. The company still has billions of dollars in debt to repay after Musk's $44 billion acquisition.
