Artificial intelligence model developer Anthropic is seeking an initial public offering (IPO) as soon as mid-November, people familiar with the matter said. The company may officially launch its IPO promotion as soon as the week of November 9, and is expected to start trading before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving falls on November 26 this year, and trading activity usually slows down significantly in the days before and after the holiday.
Informed sources said Anthropic still expects to complete the listing by the end of this year at the latest. Previous reports stated that the AI developer was originally preparing to publicly submit an IPO application after the summer.
Discussions are ongoing and the timetable may continue to change.
