Abstract:
The "Dragon" spacecraft of the U.S. Space Exploration Technology Company launched on October 1 carrying four astronauts and began a manned mission to the International Space Station. The "Dragon" spacecraft was launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Base in Florida aboard a "Falcon 9" rocket at around 11:10 a.m. Eastern Time on the 1st (23:10 a.m. on the 1st Beijing time). Subsequently, the spacecraft separated from the rocket and continued to fly to the International Space Station. According to the plan, the Dragon spacecraft will dock with the International Space Station after flying for about 8 hours.

This mission, codenamed "Manned 13", is the 13th mission of the Manned Dragon spacecraft to transport rotating astronauts to the International Space Station. The four astronauts on board the spacecraft are NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutrik, and Roscosmos astronaut Sergey Teteryankov.
According to NASA, during the mission, astronauts will conduct a number of scientific experiments to prepare for future moon and Mars exploration missions. For example, research on tissues derived from human stem cells, research on crop cultivation in space environments, observation of abnormal blood flow in astronauts in space, and testing of new medical diagnostic equipment for detecting astronauts' physical conditions, etc.
