Abstract:
On September 25, according to "The Information" citing two people familiar with the matter, DeepSeek's annualized revenue based on recent revenue levels has reached US$1 billion, more than double the level of less than US$500 million a few months ago. Founder Liang Wenfeng recently revealed this figure at an investor conference.

Part of the revenue growth comes from the API price increase in August. People familiar with the matter said Liang Wenfeng said at the meeting that the price increase had not led to a shrinking of the customer base and that demand remained strong. Currently, DeepSeek's revenue comes almost entirely from API services, and its free chat app has no ads and generates no revenue.
The report also stated that DeepSeek is advancing its second round of financing, with the goal of completing it before the end of October. It plans to raise 50 billion yuan at a valuation of 500 billion yuan and prepare to be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Liang Wenfeng told investors that increasing revenue is still not the company's top priority. Currently, more than 70% of the computing power is used to train new models, and less than 30% is used to run existing models and process user requests.
