Abstract:
On October 13, the Beijing News Shell Finance reporter learned from Jianghuai Automobile that the "Zunjie V800 Brake Pedal Inspection Instructions" showed that the Zunjie V800 brake pedal can withstand a force of 1,500N, which is in line with industry standards. The inspection was strengthened to a longitudinal force of 3,000N without cracks and damage. In this regard, two experts conducted interpretation and analysis.

The "Instructions" pointed out that Zunjie V800 "gradually increased the longitudinal force to 3000N, loaded at a speed of 20mm/min, and maintained the longitudinal force for 5 seconds to release the longitudinal force. This was done 5 times in total. 14 brake pedal component assemblies were tested, and no cracks or damage were found in the visual inspection."
Meng Wei, deputy chief engineer of vehicle products at a car company, pointed out to the Beijing News Shell Finance reporter, "The national standard does not require the force to be added at an extremely fast speed. It takes one or two seconds to slowly add 2000N, and when a person encounters an emergency, he 'pops' 2000N in a few seconds. These are two different experiments. The pressure that the brake pedal needs to withstand is also different. People who design the bracket need to think of this layer."
An Xin, a product structure design engineer, added an angle to the Beijing News Shell Finance reporter: "The force endured by the brake pedal is different whether the vehicle is static or dynamic. Zunjie did not specify whether this test is a static test or a dynamic test. Whether the force is applied quickly or slowly is also very important."
On the other hand, on October 11, Dong Yang, chairman of the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, published an article "Non-standard extreme testing cannot be abused" on his account, pointing out that automobile products pursue a balance between various performances and costs, and non-standard extreme testing focuses on a certain aspect of performance, which can easily bias public opinion. Using non-standard extreme assessment methods to damage Chinese corporate brands and industry reputations goes beyond the scope of industry supervision.
Beijing News Shell Finance reporter noticed that the "Explanation" did not disclose the name of the third-party testing agency. According to the latest media reports, the test was conducted by the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. Testing Center.
On October 13, Zunjie’s official customer service told the Beijing News Shell Finance reporter that the brake pedal of Zunjie V800 is higher than the national standard and higher than the industry standard.
