Abstract:
On November 3, the day of the U.S. midterm elections, French visual artist Joanie Lemercier posted photos and videos on social media, showing a light projection operation implemented by her team on the exterior wall of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. The artist used laser projection equipment to project the word "OUT" next to the hotel's original huge "TRUMP" sign to form a "TRUMP OUT" protest slogan.

The 44-year-old Le Mercier is a French visual artist who has long been engaged in the creation of large-scale architectural projections and lighting installations. He has also used projection technology to participate in environmental protests. In 2019, he launched the "Projection Rebellion" project to assist environmental organizations in projecting protest slogans on buildings such as Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament in the United Kingdom.
