Following Nintendo’s announcement at yesterday’s “The Legend of Zelda” 40th anniversary direct meeting that the Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo are under development (expected to be released in 2027), more amiibo information seems to have been quietly leaked at the retail end.
According to reports, GameStop’s internal system has just updated a large number of amiibo product entries. Multiple unnamed SKUs (stock keeping units) appeared collectively, all marked with a placement date of December 31, 2026, and a price range between US$25 and US$60.
It is worth noting that the placeholder dates of all SKUs are uniformly marked as December 31, 2026. This is not the actual release date, but a year-end placeholder commonly used by retailers, which means that these products are likely to be officially launched in early 2027. This time point coincides with the 2027 release window of the Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo previously announced at the direct meeting.
Nintendo has confirmed that it will hold a new face-to-face meeting at 10 pm Beijing time on September 9th, at which time it is expected to announce the release dates and new information of multiple games. A large number of new product entries appear in GameStop's internal system on the eve of the face-to-face meeting, which usually indicates that retailers have obtained relevant product information in advance for system entry - this phenomenon has occurred before many major Nintendo launches in the past.
