On October 15th, local time, in Texas, the United States, Tesla’s second-generation Roadster, which had been delayed for nine years, finally had its press conference.
In the live screen demonstration, the Roadster completed a series of demonstrations such as short-term airborne, mid-air roll, and upside-down hovering. This electric supercar, which has only existed in trailers for many years, really "flyed".
Subsequently, the official released detailed pictures of the new Roadster. In terms of interior, the new car adopts pure white interior, and the integrated sports seats have thickened side wings, bringing strong lateral support;
Equipped with a wire-controlled steering wheel, the cockpit design is minimalist, with a large central screen and two small displays at the front showing core driving data, with almost no redundant physical buttons.
It is understood that the biggest core highlight of the second-generation Roadster is the air-conditioning propulsion system jointly developed by Tesla and SpaceX and internally codenamed A71. This device consists of multiple sets of high-pressure gas nozzles, which require no fuel combustion. Under extreme working conditions, it can not only assist acceleration, optimize cornering performance, but also enable the vehicle body to briefly lift off the ground.
At the same time, Tesla has equipped the new car with a fan adsorption system, which relies on the fan to create negative pressure to firmly press the body to the road, greatly improving the grip. According to officials, this system can allow the Roadster to achieve a maximum lateral acceleration of 2g when cornering.
Currently, the car has been pre-ordered on Tesla’s official website, and the deposit for the Performance version is 332,000 yuan. Musk confirmed at the press conference that the new Roadster is planned to be officially mass-produced in 2028.
