Abstract:
The travel peak during the National Day holiday has begun, and the topic #新energy vehicle charging in high-speed service areas is like queuing for meals# has become a hot search topic on many social platforms.
Many car owners took videos and reported that there were so many vehicles in front of the charging piles in popular high-speed service areas that they could only maintain order by taking numbers and queuing up. The scene was like queuing up for meals in a canteen.
Since September 30, many trunk highways have experienced the peak of tram recharging. Some car owners got the No. 99 queue ticket at the Lingjiang service area and waited for more than 5 hours before it was their turn to recharge.
In the Dazhou North Service Area of the G65 Baomao Expressway, a new energy vehicle had only 1% remaining power and was lying down near the charging pile. Staff and enthusiastic car owners worked together to push the vehicle to the pile. There were still dozens of vehicles waiting at the scene; some car owners drove long distances and charged twice in one trip, queuing for 4.5 hours and 1 hour respectively.
A large part of the reason for this tension is that some old service areas have a small number of charging piles, with only a dozen or so piles. It is difficult to handle the surge in traffic during the holidays, and the service areas have to urgently deploy mobile charging vehicles to support them.
It is understood that
Although the total number of high-speed charging piles in the country continues to increase, the influx of traffic during the holidays in a short period of time has formed a tidal demand, and the contradiction of "fewer piles and more cars" has erupted. In addition, high-speed driving and turning on the air conditioner will accelerate power consumption, further amplifying the energy replenishment needs of car owners
.We would like to remind everyone who travels by electric car to check the real-time status of charging piles along the way before long-distance travel, and try to charge at off-peak hours; if you encounter long queues, you can choose to exit the nearest expressway and go to a charging station in a nearby town to recharge to avoid long queues at expressway service areas.
It is worth noting that the return period (October 5-6) will still usher in a new round of charging peaks. The periods are from 11:00 to 21:00 on October 5 and from 10:00 to 22:00 on October 6. It is recommended that car owners plan their routes in advance.
