Abstract:
On October 28, Li Bin, founder and chairman of Weilai, published an article introducing the "full vehicle door opening warning image" function. This function can display the exterior screen of the corresponding side of the car when the occupants are about to get out of the car, and when it detects that there is a risk of collision when opening the door, it will send out a reminder through lights and sounds to help the occupants observe the surrounding road conditions and reduce the risk of "opening the door to kill".

According to Li Bin, when the occupants unbuckle their seat belts or prepare to open the door, the vehicle can display the side and rear images of the corresponding side on the central control screen or the rear control screen. If there are passengers on the left and right sides preparing to get off at the same time, the screen can also display the images on both sides separately.

This function relies on the capabilities of the Shenji NX9031 chip and currently covers the new ES8, ET9, ES9, Weilai's 2025 and 2026 ES6, EC6, and Ledo's 2026 L60, L80, L90 and other models. Users can also manually turn this function on or off through the vehicle's "Settings - Security - Door Opening Warning Image" menu.

Li Bin said that the door-opening warning image is intended to provide more reference for passengers to observe the surrounding environment when getting off the car, and also reminds users that auxiliary functions cannot replace their own observation, and they still need to pay attention to surrounding traffic conditions before getting off the car.
