Abstract:
Many people did not expect that the United States suddenly introduced targeted restrictive measures against the Chinese AI company DeepSeek.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has officially issued regulations prohibiting the use of the entire range of products of the Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek in U.S. government computer systems. The relevant announcement has been publicly published in an official notice in the "Federal Register", a compilation of official U.S. government documents. There is no buffer space for early warning.
According to the clear requirements of this public document, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has officially ordered that all civil department IT information systems must delete all DeepSeek products, all development results related to the company, and all third-party derivative products created using DeepSeek development results.
In addition, this directive also clearly delineates the red line for subsequent access. All U.S. federal civil departments under jurisdiction are prohibited from purchasing any related products under DeepSeek in the future, directly cutting off the possibility of the product entering the U.S. government system from the source of procurement.
The United States claims that DeepSeek’s development results pose a threat.
