Today, according to Elephant News, in response to the much-anticipated Zunjie V800 brake pedal testing scandal, the brand’s customer service responded to the timing of the upgrade plan: the final upgrade plan is expected to be finalized by the end of October, and the upgrade work will be gradually implemented starting in November.
For car owners who have already taken delivery of their cars, this upgrade adopts a voluntary application mode. Car owners who need to upgrade can contact the official, who will contact the nearest user center to make an appointment.Customer service emphasized that this parts upgrade is free of charge, and also made it clear that this action is not a vehicle recall.
When the media repeatedly asked owners of delivered cars whether they had the option to refuse the upgrade, customer service responded many times that upgrading was entirely up to the owner and was not a mandatory requirement.
The source of this turmoil comes from an actual test video recently released by CHEDI. Video test footage shows that the brake pedal bracket base of many Zunjie V800s broke under full braking conditions at high speeds.
Relevant test clips have been widely circulated on the Internet. Many existing car owners and potential car buyers are very worried about the actual safety performance of the vehicle and hope that the manufacturer will provide corresponding solutions.
After the incident fermented, Zunjie Automobile quickly released an official statement.
Officially, the entire braking system of the Zunjie V800 was fully tested and verified during the research and development stage in accordance with requirements higher than national and industry standards; after the vehicle was delivered to users and put into daily use, there have been no cases of failure of the brake pedal bracket base breaking in real car use scenarios.
Even so, in order to improve safety redundancy, the brand still decided to optimize the design of this component and launch a free upgrade service for car owners who have already taken delivery of the car.
