As one of Microsoft's most important first-party games, the sci-fi shooting game "Halo" has launched a number of mainline works and derivative games since its birth in 2001. Currently, the "Halo" series of games is mainly handled by 343 Industries.

Recently, former 343 senior developer Kevin Schmitt (who worked at 343 from 2011 to 2023 and participated in the development of Halo 4, 5 and Infinite) revealed to the outside world that the studio has "20 to 30 game ideas" that can take Halo in a new and exciting direction.

Kevin mentioned that these concepts cover both single-player and multiplayer gaming experiences, "some across the galaxy, some closer to the home planet... and there's a very dark vision." But unfortunately, these ideas never left the concept stage.

Kevin explains: "There are thousands of reasons why they haven't been made. It's rarely corporate greed or some other nefarious reason. I've found that a lot of it comes down to timing."
