During MWC24,Huawei has released the F5G all-optical campus 2.0 solution, which is claimed to be the preferred solution for 10G campus networks.Gu Yunbo, president of Huawei's government and enterprise optical field, said that in 2016, Huawei launched the industry's first all-optical campus 1.0 solution, the industry's first IP+POL integrated campus networking architecture, which has been applied in more than 8,000 campus projects in 50 countries around the world.
F5G all-optical campus 2.0 solution is based on two key technologies: XGS-PONPro and Wi-Fi7, compared to the 1.0 solution, it has four major upgrades in performance and experience:
1. Bandwidth upgrade: Based on the industry’s first XGS-PONPro technology,Achieving 25G to the room, 10G to the AP, and 2.5Gbps to the desktop, increasing access bandwidth by 150%;Launched the industry’s first enterprise-level Wi-Fi7 optical terminal W827E;
2. Networking upgrade: end-to-end hard slicing, supporting up to 8 hard-isolated private networks, realizing the integration of multiple networks such as office networks and production networks into one, without the need for repeated network construction, and the overall network construction TCO is reduced by 30%;
3. Experience upgrade: ensure deterministic experience of key services through hard isolation private network; innovative C-WAN algorithm to achieve Wi-Fi seamless roaming in less than 20ms; newly launched POL analyzer to realize user Wi-Fi experience visibility;
4. Operation and maintenance upgrade: NCE-Campus network management platform newly supports IP+POL unified management, realizing simplified management of one person, one park.
It is understood thatCategory 5 network cables or Category 5e network cables commonly used in traditional campus cabling can only support a maximum bandwidth of 2.5Gbps and require rewiring when upgrading to Wi-Fi7.
Huawei's all-optical campus solution uses optical fiber. Optical fiber has the characteristics of large bandwidth, low cost, long life, and green environmental protection. One-time wiring can last for 30 years without worries. The evolution of optical parks and the withdrawal of copper is unstoppable.
