Logitech G, the gaming arm of Logitech, has teamed up with gaming seat company Playseat to come up with a fancy foldable racing sim cockpit seat that tucks away in a closet when not in use. The home racing chair is priced at $299, which is still expensive, but cheaper than the companies' last collaboration, and it's also foldable.

The Playseat Challenge The Logitech version comes with a shift mount, as well as a tilt pedal mount, but that doesn't seem to be available on the regular Challenge. The Logitech version also has an extra handle for easy positioning, and of course the cool Logitech G logo and blue and black color scheme. Logitech's marketers say it supports the Logitech G Racing Wheel and the Logitech GDrivingForceShifter. It also works with any other wheels, pedals and shifters on the market.

There are poles at the bottom that hold the pedals in place and can be adjusted forward and backward to accommodate the player's leg length. The seat itself has six positions that make it feel like you're in a car (even though it's essentially a lawn chair).

When you consider purchasing a dedicated racing chair, you've probably invested a lot of money and effort into a racing simulation. ChallengeX may be a good choice for those who are put off by the size or price of other cockpits. The entire unit weighs only 26 pounds and folds for storage when not in use.

When your aunts and uncles drop by unexpectedly, your Playseat Challenge You can explain to your uncle that this chair molds to his body, includes "adjustable firmness," and has breathable mesh to keep you cool.

Once they're gone, you can reinstall the racing steering wheel and pedals so you can sit back, get another beat, and get back on the track. Logitech is now selling the Playseat Challenge X-Logitech G Edition on Amazon.
