To support Ryan's transition, Sony Group President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki will serve as Chairman of SIE starting in October 2023 and interim CEO of SIE starting on April 1, 2024. Hiroki Kantoki will work closely with Sony Group Chairman and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida and the SIE management team to develop the next chapter for the future of PlayStation, including a succession plan for SIE CEO.

Ryan said he leaves feeling extremely privileged to have been involved in launching a product that impacted millions of people around the world, that PlayStation will forever be associated with his life, and feels very optimistic about SIE's future.
