CDPR confirms: The story of "2077" has ended, focus on the sequel

CDPR game director Gabe Amatangelo confirmed in an interview with PCGamer yesterday that "Cyberpunk 2077" 2.0 and "Shadows of the Past" will bring the game to an end, and then the studio will focus on the development of new games. "2.0 and "Shadows of the Past" will be the last major updates. We will continue to work on more things, but there will be no major updates of this scale."

Talking about the next focus of work, Amatangelo said, "That will be 'Cyberpunk 2', or you can call it 'Orion' - whatever we end up naming it."

PCGamer pointed out that CDPR has invested about ten years in this game from the establishment of the project to the release of DLC, and it is time to bring it to an end.
