Next Monday, Eastern Time, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will testify as a witness for the U.S. Department of Justice. This is a rare court battle between Microsoft and Google. It is reported that the government may ask Nadella about Microsoft's efforts to expand the influence of the Edge browser and Bing search engine, as well as the obstacles posed by Google's dominance.

The U.S. government believes that Google illegally pays smartphone manufacturers such as Apple and wireless carriers such as AT&T $10 billion a year to become the default search engine on their devices to maintain its monopoly. Currently, Google's share of the search market is about 90%.
