recently,BYD Mexico announced that it will jointly build electric logistics trucks for the beverage industry with FEMSA and Coca-Cola FEMSA.FEMSA was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico. It is a well-known beverage company in Latin America. It owns 47.9% of the world-renowned Coca-Cola bottling company Coca-Cola. FEMSA mainly helps Coca-Cola produce various beverages.

It is reported that,The electric truck will be developed based on Coca-Cola FEMSA’s needs in Mexico,Its chassis holds 14 low-bed pallets and meets bottler and Coca-Cola Company safety standards.

In terms of battery,The new electric truck is battery-powered, has a charging time of 1.5 to 2 hours, and can accommodate 8, 10 or 12 pallets at the same time.

Currently, Coca-Cola FEMSA has a total of 26 BYD electric vehicles in Mexico, including forklifts, trucks, light trucks and sales vehicles.

The electric trucks in this partnership will be piloted for six to eight months starting in October 2023, and will be put into trial operation on different routes in the Valley of Mexico according to the testing requirements designed by the local transportation commission.
