Lenovo seems ready to launch a new, more affordable Copilot Plus PC. Leaker Evan Blass has previewed a press release from Lenovo detailing a number of Copilot Plus PCs that will be released at the IFA show later this week, including two PCs powered by the unannounced 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon XPlus chip.

Lenovo's new Copilot Plus PCs equipped with Qualcomm chips include the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 and IdeaPad Slim 5x. The former is a foldable laptop with a 14-inch OLED display, and the latter is a full-metal casing laptop with an optional 14-inch OLED display. Both products use the new Snapdragon XPlus 8-core chip instead of the regular 10-core version. The IdeaPad5x2-in-1 is equipped with an OLED display. Lenovo has set the starting price of the Slim5x at 899 euros (about $990), and the starting price of the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 at 999 euros. Both products are expected to be available in September. This European pricing suggests that the Copilot Plus PC will be launched for 200 euros less than the 1,199 euro retail price of the Surface Laptop 7 (strictly speaking, the cheapest Copilot Plus PC currently available).

It's unclear whether Lenovo's new Copilot Plus PC will be priced close to the discounted retail price of some models in the United States. Currently, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is priced at $799.99, and the HP OmniBook X is priced at $899.99. Both CopilotPlus computers are discounted and tax-free, and are powered by Qualcomm's 10-core or 12-core Snapdragon chips.

Lenovo also plans to launch other CopilotPlus computers equipped with Intel and AMD processors. YogaSlim7iAuraEdition is a 15-inch laptop that uses Intel's latest Core UltraSeries2 chip, while Lenovo's YogaPro7 and IdeaPadSlim5 both use AMD's latest Ryzen processor.
