Apple today announced updates to its Apple Business Connect feature designed to allow any verified business to create consistent branding and location across apps like Maps, Wallet, Phone and Mail.
Using BusinessConnect, businesses can sign up to display their branding in the Phone app when making calls to iPhone users, or in the Mail app to make incoming emails more identifiable. Businesses can sign up for branded emails today, and the logo will appear in front of customers when iOS 18.2 is released later this year.
In 2025, businesses will be able to use business caller ID to display their name, logo and department on the screen of incoming calls.
Businesses can now also choose to display their logos in Tap to Pay on iPhone instead of category icons. Apple says the change will help users ensure they are paying a verified business.
Businesses have long been able to use BusinessConnect to apply for and manage their location cards on the map, but now BusinessConnect is also available for businesses that run services or operate online without a physical presence.
