According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, a new 13-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M3 chip is unlikely to appear at Apple's "scary-fast" Mac launch event next week.
In the latest edition of his "PowerOn" newsletter, shared over the weekend, Gurman said supplies of the 13-inch MacBook Pro were dwindling and suggested an upgrade could come next week.
But he now says that the new phone will probably not appear at Apple’s upcoming launch event. The new entry-level MacBook Pro, code-named "J504", is still under development and uses a "basic M3 chip." Gurman has been reporting on the existence of the device since April.
This means that the main models that will be released at this conference are iMac and 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, both of which use M3 series chips. Gurman added that he doesn't expect the rescheduled event to be very feature-rich or to see any other updated devices, including iPads or AirPods.
The "Scarily Fast" press conference will be held at 8 a.m. on October 31, Beijing time.
