IDC recently released the China tablet market quarterly tracking report for the third quarter of 2024. Huawei ranks first with a significant market share advantage, while Apple's market share is far behind Huawei.The report shows that in the third quarter of 2024, China's tablet market shipments reached 7.68 million units, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%, maintaining positive growth in shipments for three consecutive quarters.

Specific to each manufacturer, Huawei continues to maintain rapid growth, ranking first in the market with a market share of 36.7%.The new MatePad Pro and MatePad Air further strengthen Huawei's software and hardware capabilities in the mid-to-high price range, while MatePad SE11 has successfully attracted users in the thousand-yuan market.

Apple ranked second with a market share of 26.2%. Faced with fierce competition from domestic brands and sales pressure caused by high prices of its own products, coupled with the impact of channel inventory in the previous quarter, Apple's third-quarter shipments continued to decline year-on-year.

Comparison found that in the second quarter of this year, Huawei's tablet and iPad shares in China were 28.4% and 28.0% respectively, while in the third quarter, their shares were 36.7% and 26.2% respectively. This also means that the iPad's share in the Chinese market was left behind by Huawei.

Xiaomi ranked third with a market share of 11.3%. With the increasingly stable operation of Xiaomi and Redmi product lines, shipments in the third quarter maintained rapid growth.

Honor and Lenovo ranked fourth and fifth respectively, with market shares of 7.3% and 6.8%.
